Prep your wallets. Gather your naughty and nice lists. This is the weekend to get that shopping done. With two of our biggest annual bazaars taking place within mere blocks of each other, there will be nearly 100 local vendor options for you to get everything you could possible need from Grandpa to that co-worker who you weren’t going to buy a gift for, but they got you one last year so now you have to.

The Portland Bazaar

First up, the third return of The Portland Bazaar at Sandbox Studios. Started in 2011by Grace Bonney (designsponge.com), Greg Hennes (campfire-cologne.com) and Matt Pierce (woodandfaulk.com), their mission was to create an exciting event to highlight the skilled artists, makers and small businesses here (Hint: They’ve succeeded). This year, Hennes and Pierce present an eclectic roster of the finest clothing, accessories, home goods, books, music, vintage wares, food and spirits that our city (and beyond) has to offer.

Give Good Gift

Also returning for its third year the lovely folks at Union Pine bring back Give Good Gift. They say, “ As holiday season is nearing, in all its cozy morning, comfort food, and gift list-making glory, we have just the fix.”

Just half a mile away from The Portland Bazaar, you can find another 30+ of Portland’s favorite stores, designers, and artisans for shopping fun and ease. Friday’s evening market, 6pm to 10pm includes Hot Spiced Ginger Cider or Cranberry Fizz from New Deal Distillery, or a cold beer from Base Camp Brewing (who will be donating their proceeds to charity in the spirit of the season) while Saturday morning features Bloody Marys, Spiked Stumptown Coffee, and edibles from The Sugar Cube and Bunk to get you in the giving mood.
