May 1949 Location: Rogue River
A fishing party on the Rogue River spies an unusual hovering object through binoculars. The description of the saucer-shaped craft (sketched in the official report above) given by two of the men is very similar to the one in the McMinnville case a year later (see next slides)—though investigators note its resemblance to a blimp.

May 1950 Location: McMinnville
When quiet McMinnville farmers Evelyn and Paul Trent took these two black-and-white snapshots of a purported UFO in their backyard, they were instantly catapulted to national fame. Every grain of these photos has been examined, analyzed, and reanalyzed over the past 62 years—with debunkers and UFOlogists arguing their cases equally fervently.
1960s or 1970s Location: Southern Oregon
These three images were submitted to UFO field investigator William Puckett in 2008 by the a woman who found them in her stepmothers storage. They are believed to have been taken along Wagner Creek Road near Medford in the 1960s, but the lack of additional evidence or information precluded any further investigation.
July 1998 Location: Hubbard, Oregon
These circles mysteriously appeared in a field near Lenhard Aiport, measuring about 250 feet long and 170 feet wide. No official explanation was ever found, but at least one witness claimed to have seen an unusually bright object in the area at night, just before the circles were discovered. Since then two similar crop circles have been reported in the same field.
May 2004 Location: Eastbank Esplanade
Two women riding their bikes spot this dark, cigar-shaped object hovering in the distance over downtown Portland. The object appeared to move over the river towards them, when one of the women captured this photograph. Within seconds, the object disappeared out of sight to the north. Strangely enough, when UFO investigators went to the same spot to analyze the women’s report, they reported seeing a UFO as well.
December 2004 Location: Springfield
A Springfield man photographs a “very, very bright” bluish circle with a red rim in the night sky—which he believes to be the underside of a UFO. Investigators initially believe it could be a planet, but none should have been visible that night.
March 2006 Location: Northeast Portland
A woman films a glowing, white object moving slowly across the blue daytime sky. Video analysis and air traffic records confirm the authenticity of the tape—and rule out an airplane, helicopter, or the International Space Station.
September 2006 Location: Rogue River
A fishing guide looking through his pictures from a recent trip on the Rogue River discovers something he claims didn’t notice before. Investigators are dubious about the photos, but don’t have any more information to go on.
