"My favorite large scale oil painting by my Mom (Edie) in 1969," says Alissa. "Somehow I was lucky enough to acquire this one!"

Statuario marble provides a clean and simple backdrop when paired with warm woods of the cabinet and topped with finishes that express the family’s personality, from a fabulous orange espresso maker to some vintage glassware.

Alissa likes to mix industrial items with class materials. "This is my favorite anthropomorphic faucet!" she says. "It looks and articulates like a little robot."

The felt-lined silverware drawers and inset cabinets are a luxurious practicality.

An understated bedroom blends flora and fauna—with an industrial edge.

The wall hanging is a set of found mattress springs. "There is a fine line between found art and hoarder I suppose," says Alissa. "Seeing beauty in rusty metals and miscellany runs through much of our Bright Designlab philosophy."
