Epp of TxE briefly dismounted from the stage and disappeared into his enthusiastic crowd on Friday night. He heckled one hipster, saying, “Shave your mustache; I hate you!” And the crowd went wild.

This couple staked out a good spot at the PDX Pop outdoor stage at Refuge PDX, and seemed to embody an eclectic mix of lifestyle elements, just like the festival itself: Note birkenstocks with businesswear, helmets that indicate they arrived via alternate transport, and the most essential accessory: love .

Radiation City vascillated between minor, swooning songs a la Portishead, and more upbeat doo-wop numbers. They closed with a cover of jazz standard “At Last,” with singer Lizzie Ellison looking the part.
