The Original, a chic SW neighborhood eatery, takes an innovative and daring approach towards classic comfort food—reinventing traditional dishes by adding a little class, sophistication and creativity. Noted by NY Times blog The Moment and featured on our blog, Portland Plated, The Original has been made famous for their interesting creations such as the Voodoo Doughnut Burger-a beef patty with melted cheddar set between a glazed doughnut, which, while it may sound strange is actually truly delicious. The Original has it all—breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, late night dining. Happy hour happens everyday from 3-6 and 9-11 and boasts items such as lobster popcorn, scotch egg, poutine and pigs in a blanket. This new and interesting eatery is sure to keep you coming back.
