Stepping Stone was once upon a time featured on an episode of the Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food, and since then has suffered a great deal of notoriety for its man-cakes/man-cake challenge (the featured dish). Other than its oversized pancakes, Stepping Stone serves the typical diner fare. The decor is also typical kitschy diner: red swiveling barstool chairs, black and white picnic tablecloths, neon signs. Their motto is: “You Eat Here Because We Let You,” and they act like it. Some people like it, some people don’t. And the staff here sure don’t care whether you do or not.
