A Guide to Oregon’s Extraterrestrial Past and Present!

My younger brother and once seen some weird lights up the Calapoya river one sommer night . There were several of them and they reminded you of fire flies. Something we dont have here that i know of.You couldent tell shapes but size could not have been very big.this was back around the year 2000. this is all i can recall. I do remmber were this happen.

As entertainment not a bad piece. But as a card carrying Skeptic, these kinds of articles just enable the scientifically challenged. I'm all for true objective investigation but guess what, there's not one scintilla of evidence in any real scientific journal of 'alien' existence. I will be excited and interested when there is real evidence but it ain't here yet. You should advise readers to also read Michael schemer and Carl Sagan, for starters.

Though a short article and trying to cover a lot, kudos to Oregon MUFON and their investigators and support people. The article failed to mention the National UFO Reporting Center in WA State and the exhausting work & dedication of Peter Davenport in conjunction with Oregon MUFON groups - I feel that is a dis-service to the reader here. As one who had his 1st "UFO" encounter at Bonney Lake near Puyallup,WA in 1961, I truly believe that there are other alien life forms visiting this Planet for hundreds of years, and the whole scenario is fully controlled by many World Governments and Major Militaries of the sane Countries, with the USA/British Govt in the Lead. There are far too many events happening that are fully unexplained, and seems to have a 'major media' block where some of it get's reported - but no in-depth serious reporting, except George Knapp from KLAS-TV. The Phoenix Lights of 1997 was 2 events in one night with the media 'spinning' the event to the flare drop later, and always ignores the initial event that started hours before. Spin. The best way to watch and see 'disinformation' on major UFO events is watch what the official government doesn't do, especially after 911 attacks. The Chicago Ohare UFO "cloud' of ( 2008?) spotted by highly qualified Boeing 777 taxi Pilots, and others, was silent until the local reporter kept the story on page one, the Military, with a reported airport incursion, remained "silent', when after 9-1-1, if someone leaves a crummy back pack in the terminal with a stale Togo's #9 inside, shuts down an Airport. But a UFO reported over the terminal get's nary a response. Ooops! I too, believe in other dimension possibilities with UFO activity and sightings. One thing I feel is true, is the Alien life forms, are so far advanced, that they can do whatever they want, and we're just along for the ride!

Last night on Sunday July 29, 2012 - myself and many locals witnessed hundreds of red orbs over 39th ave and holgate at the corner. This was my first encounter. I quickly pulled out my phone and began recording. These were not flares because they were big orbs that were red and that would come together and then break apart and then go straight up in the sky. They were very low but my phone made it look distant. Never have I ever seen this in all the 11 years I lived in Portland. Can I send you the video?!
