SAVOR THE AROMA of honey in the air when blueblossom explodes into bloom this month. Growing up to 10 feet tall, this fast-growing Southern Oregon native, which can be pruned as a shrub or a small tree, provides excellent screening for private backyard retreats. But expect lots of visits from neighboring native wildlife: the blueblossom’s sweet-scented sprays of turquoise flowers are irresistible to pollinators like hummingbirds and honeybees.
