Mt. Hood
Edited by Brian Barker By Rachel Ritchie, Christopher Van Tilburg, Kasey Cordell, and Kelly O'Connor
As the temperatures dip towards freezing, that big A-shaped peak to the east, Mt. Hood, calls to Portlanders. We’ve put together a guide that highlights 23 of the mountain’s most essential experiences, ranging from the doughnut shop on the road, to the ice palace on the slopes. Along the way, we’ll look at the stories that have figuratively and literally shaped our view of Hood.
