Features: Lunch and Credit Cards Accepted

Owner John Dovydenas made his mark downtown last year with simple, handcrafted sandwiches constructed with an almost comical devotion to from-scratch ingredients: cart-baked bread, house-smoked hams, and a small garden of microgreens growing off the back of the truck. With a new location at the Green Castle food pod, Dovydenas is back in his quaint, 150-square-foot cabin on wheels with a new menu. A Reuben with house-cured corned beef, Willamette Valley boerenkaas cheese, fresh pickled carrots, and mustard greens stands up to Portland’s reigning champ at Kenny & Zuke’s, while a humble breakfast sandwich (thick, house-smoked bacon, wilted bok choy, and an over-medium egg) contends for Portland’s best.
