The title of this exhibit is taken from a line by Joan Didion in her iconic 1970s book of essays,
The White Album. The show at the Museum of Contemporary Craft recognizes the recipients of the Hallie Ford Fellowship in the Visual Arts from 2010-2012, and showcases their work. Three Oregon-based artists are awarded the $25,000 fellowship each year, so nine artists are represented here altogether, each demonstrating their commitment to the continuing efforts to enrich and enliven the cultural life of Oregon through their artistic pursuits.
