The New Century Players' community theater company of Milwaukie present the Tony Award winning musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Spelling Bee tells the story of six adolescent outsiders in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, who learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't make you a loser. The show's quirky yet charming cast of outsiders become the unlikeliest of heroes when a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.
