Thirty-two years ago four Minneapolis high school pals decided to form a band called Loud Fast Rules, but they became known as more of a hard-rockin' roots band once they outgrew their youthful punk phase. They had most of their career peaks under the name Soul Asylum. They had a Grammy winning hit in 1992 with "Runaway Train" and singer Dave Pirner was once romantically linked to Winona Ryder. They played the first Clinton inauguration. And now they're back.
