
Part of the Portland International Film Festival. Set in 1915 in the South of France, at the end of the
74-year-old famous painter's life. Renoir's wife has just died, and he is crippled by sadness and arthritis. Young and beautiful Andrée comes to model for him, but stays on to live at the Renoir home with the painter and his son. While the older Renoir finds renewed spirit and energy to dedicate to his art, his son falls in love with the young Andrée. The film was featured as the Closing Night Film of the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. Also showing 2/13 at Regal Lloyd Center.
