New Moscow Drama Theatre debuts its highly improvised telling of Dostoyevsky’s
The Idiot. This adaptation centers around merchant Rogozhin and Myshkin, the young, naïve prince, and their relationship with the beautiful Natasya Filippovna. To encourage "true improvisation," the actors spent a year and a half immersing themselves in the novel, memorizing it, and playing its various characters. The result is an unpredicatable, compelling evening of theater. All performances are in Russian with English subtitles, save for the final performance which will not be subtitled.
