Part of the 36th Portland International Film Festival. Produced in association with HBO Documentary Films,
Love, Marilyn combines footage of many currently famous actresses reading Marilyn's letters and diaries, most of them not yet shown publicly, from the estates of Arthur Miller, Truman Capote, and Lee Strasberg. Dramatic performances from Uma Thurman, Lili Taylor, Glenn Close, Ellen Burstyn, and many more help paint a fantastically more complex picture than ever before of perhaps the most idolized and beloved woman in American film history -- or indeed, in history. Also showing at Regal Lloyd Center on Feb. 16 and Whitsell Auditorium on Feb. 23.
