"Head for the hills" isn't the panic-strike cry during an impending flood or zombie attack, but rather an invitation to the countryside to have an old-fashioned, barn-burner of a good time with this jangly, upbeat bluegrass quartet. The band, which formed in their Colorado State dorm rooms in 2003, has been gaining steam following appearances at SXSW and on NPR. After criss-crossing the country on tour, the band released a live album this past spring. They play in support of Emmitt-Nershi Band—a collaboration of two of H4TH's major musical influences, Leftover Salmon and String Cheese Incident.
