In the bicentennial of author Charles Dickens, the Northwest Film Center presents three classic films adapted from his works. They begin fittingly with
A Christmas Carol and Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly crank that guffaws at the holiday spirit until visited by the Holiday Spirits of the Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come, transforming him into a man who "knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge." The 1951 British black and white classic, starring Alastair Sim, will be shown in 35mm.
