For 13 years, pasty chef David Diffendorfer has been erecting statuesque gingerbread houses in the lobby of the Benson Hotel. A far cry from gumdrops and licorice, these handcrafted one-of-a-kind works of art reflect cityscapes, castles, or scenes from the imagination of its creator. The Festival Brass Band will be performing and refreshments will be offered. Guests are encouraged to bring a new and unwrapped toy to donote to Toys for Tots Foundation, which for 65 years has provided children in need with holiday gifts.
