The Heat Is On—Drink Chenin! at SE Wine Collective

What: SE Wine Collective will revel in the sunny weather with a rotating flight of delicious Chenin Blancs all summer long. To kick things off, winery Chef Althea Grey Potter will feature Seattle-based Chef Renee Erickson’s Slow Cooked Salmon with Turnips and Swiss Chard on the Tasting Bar menu, a recipe recently featured in Bon Appétit with the suggested pairing of the Division-Villages L’isle Verte Chenin Blanc. Enjoy the best of chenins both domestic and abroad with the starting flight on June 18.

Cider Appreciation Class with Reverend Nat

Kramer Vineyards Solstice Dinner

What: Kramer Vineyards is hosting a Solstice dinner, catered by Hoda’s Middle Eastern Cuisine and featuring Estate Pinot Noirs. The menu will include lamb shanks cooked in pomegranate molasses and Pinot Noir, basmati rice cooked with saffron, orange zest, white wine, cranberries and almonds, humos and baba ghanouje, salad, fruit and local vegetables, and plenty of fresh baked pita.

BBQ Fundraiser for Pixie Project at Oso

Love for Bologna Benefit Lunch

What: Nostrana is working to raise funds for a young Italian chef and great collaborator who is now battling leukemia. The restaurant is holding a lunch benefit where they will serve the five course tasting menu presented at the James Beard House last April, a menu which was inspired by the teaching of the Tori family of Bologna who are now in need of urgent support. 100% of the proceeds will go toward Tommaso Tori’s treatment.

Yappy Hour with SE Wine Collective

What: Must love dogs? Meanwhile, dogs can play or kick back in a fenced area just outside the Collective. Space in the play yard is limited to 15 well-socialized dogs.

Bees 101 with Red Ridge Farms

What: Learn bee basics with Damian Magista of Bee Local. Damian will be teaching us about the bee hierarchy, what bees do and how they do it.
