In celebration of long summer days, juicy grilled meats, and the best margaritas in town, Portland Monthly will bring six of the city’s best together to dish up a barbecue bonanza at Portland’s iconic Zidell Yards.
A late-summer backyard barbecue on a truly grand scale, Endless Summer offers attendees grilled goods from Podnah’s Pit, Bunk Sandwiches, Clyde Common, Taqueria Nueve, Ya Hala, and Imperial. To add to the copious amounts of barbecued goodness, the event also marks the debut of Portland Monthly’s first-ever margarita competition, sponsored by Sauza 901. Competitors in the all-out shake-off include Bunk, La Taq, Verde Cocina, and Sinju, among others. Guests can wash all that barbecue down with summer shandies and white wine spritzers, plus icy licks of Salt & Straw ice cream and sweet treats from Petunia’s Pies and Pastries.
Portland Cumbia band Orquestra Pacifico Tropical is slated to fill the riverfront picnic with ambient summer sounds while attendees laze in the sun or play bocce, badminton, or horseshoes.
