If you happened to peek at my spring editorial Night Moves last month, you know I have disco fever. But I am not alone. The 70’s is the new decade du jour for apparel trends, and YSL designs from that era are exceptionally popular. Marc Jacobs commented that his designs for Spring/Summer were inspired by his “usual fave” YSL, who has been a continual inspiration for him throughout his career. The proof of popularity is all over Portland and growing daily. Look for peasant blouses, safari jackets, trench coats, vibrant colors, bold prints, and flowing maxi dresses if you want to get on board the 70’s YSL train that Gucci, Derek Lam, Emilio Pucci, Diane Von Furstenberg, Elie Saab, Etro, and Fendi are already riding.
