It’s another week and another cool thing from Solestruck. This time the quickly growing shoe tycoon put together a rockin’ roller rink shoot giving love to their Antiquities Department (aka vintage) with local apparel from Ms. Wood, Rad Summer, Yo Vintage and Moonwoods. Basically, it looks like the coolest kids in school had a party and we wish we were invited.

Portland’s tres chic shoe store, Solestruck, is quickly earning a rep for their glammed look books. The latest installment pays homage to the holidays with all things sequin, metallic and shiny. Have flip through the slide show to see the pretty things for sale and then take a peak at the behind the scenes video.

As if Solestruck shoe store didn’t already do enough to decimate our wallets, they’ve gone and added a whole new department. The Department of Antiquities consists of killer vintage shoes sourced from top locations across the country. In one web browsing session you can ogle perfectly distressed boots and dainty strappy sandals with the perfect amount of embellishing. To celebrate the debut of this ever-evolving bunch Solestruck sent their fashion crew out to the Oregon desert for a Lookbook photo shoot and came back with some pretty cool pictures.
One word: Wedges. This cousin to the traditional high heel has a special place in my heart because it lends enough support for the shimmy-shimmy shake-shake I like to break into multiple times a day. If you want to go higher to elongate your legs with that miniskirt, but are a little shaky on stilettos, wedges are the way to go. It’s an ongoing trend with a little more action this year as it crashes into the many other 70’s trends that are currently En Vogue. Get your (ankle supporting) groove on.
