After the massive success of Pendleton’s Portland Collection debut last fall it is with no surprise that another one is on the way. We have a three image sneak peek at the upcoming group set to hit stores in fall 2012. Rumor on the street is this time around the line is much larger and includes “lifestyle products.”
Hmmmm, Pendleton paper towels anyone? (I’d use them)
How do collaboration collections get made? Watch the video to learn.

If you have yet to hear of Pendleton’s Portland Collection, it’s time to get you caught up. Especially since (spoiler alert) you’re going to see a chunk of it in our upcoming Fall fashion spread we shot yesterday. In this charming little video shot by Chris Hornbecker we follow designers Rachel Turk, Nathaniel Crissman and John Blasioli while they visit Pendleton’s headquarters, archives and historic mill to derive inspiration for The Portland Collection. Watch them work in their studio and go behind-the-scenes at the lookbook shoot.
Total bonus point? It remnds me of an old episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood when he would visit factories. Awesome!
Filmed and directed by Chris Hornbecker, music by Typhoon.

Eden Dawn (yes, that is her real name) spends her life submerged in fashion (some might say drowning). Born and raised in Oregon, she began her style career while still a child, by cheerfully violating numerous dress codes at her private school. She has designed both apparel and textile and is an instructor in the fashion department at The Art Institute of Portland. She has been a writer “on the scene” since 2007.
