PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY welcomed a record 400 guests to its annual President’s Scholarship Reception. Student scholarship recipients and scholarship donors enjoyed a program that featured inspiring remarks from scholarship supporters Irving Levin, Keren Brown Wilson and Michael DeShane. Scholarships are a top funding priority for PSU, the largest university in Oregon. Nearly 57 percent of PSU students receive some form of financial aid.

On Saturday, April 20 the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation rolled out the red carpet to welcome 440 guests to the Portland Art Museum for the 15^th Annual Heart of Doernbecher Auction. It was an inspiring evening and thanks to generous supporters, the event raised over $685,000 for OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital’s. Many thanks to all attendees and sponsors including Presenting Sponsor Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and Media Sponsor Portland Monthly.

Warner Pacific College is uniquely positioned to serve these students through our innovative Urban Service Track of the Act Six Leadership & Scholarship Initiative. For each Act Six scholar, Warner Pacific College provides a full-tuition, full-need scholarship to local high school students who are chosen for their distinctive leadership, academic potential, and commitment to making a difference in their communities.

ON SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 200 guests enjoyed “An Evening in Latin America” at the fifth annual Around the World with St. Jude Dinner at Montgomery Park in Northwest Portland. The event raised $100,000 to benefit children battling cancer and life-threatening diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

HERE + NOW, IS SELF ENHANCEMENT INC.’S annual “Party with a Purpose” for professionals with a passion for giving back to the community, was held at the Nines Hotel. This year’s honoree was Howard “H” White. More than 300 guests attended, making it one of the largest Here + Now events in SEI’s history.
