A Good paddlin’

Guests helped raise $167,000 dollars in support of SEI’s summer programs at the standing-room-only Here+Now party.

GLITZ, GLAMOUR, AND PLENTY OF GAMS were on display at Self Enhancement Inc’s annual Here+Now party on April 17. The annual fundraising event aims to introduce young, community-oriented professionals—Portland’s next generation of philanthropists—to SEI. As one of the nation’s premier youth development organizations, SEI provides after-school support that the public education system just can’t afford. This need intensifies during the summer, when SEI runs six-week summer programs that engage hundreds of students in classes, music, athletics, performing arts, and internships. This year Here+Now raised $167,000 in support of those programs. Now that’s something we can (and did) drink to.
