Odin
Our new pound puppy Odin on his first roadtrip to Cannon Beach. Who doesn’t love crab legs?

Callie
We had a freak snowstorm in Dallas, Texas that lasted several days. My dog, Callie, LOVED the snow and spent hours bounding around and bonding with the snowpeople we built.

Natasha
I found Natasha on Petfinder.com and fell head over heals instantly! I flew to Santa Barbra (from Portland) to get her. She loves to smile!

Tinsley
No, my puppy doesn’t know how to stick out her tongue on command. (Yet.) My husband just happened to snap this picture while she was in the early stages of a really big yawn.

Ellie
Ellie is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, a breed known for their strong will and persistence. In this photo, she’s giving me the stare-down as if saying “you WILL play tug with me.”

Gus
Just one heckuva great dog who never lays down on the job. Except at bedtime.

Dexter
We finally got an English Bull Terrier puppy AND a digital camera two years ago. We had Dexter only about two weeks when he mastered the two steps up to the landing of our deck. Of course, he had to be carried back down…

Kaze
My German Shepherd/Australian Kelpie mix thinking of mischief to get into. As usual.

Lily
Our highly intelligent, hard-working, and beloved sheltie recently passed away. We’re better people for having known her.

Starbuck
This is my tall and fairly skinny pure bred 100 pound Golden Retriever, who doesn’t just think he is a lap dog, but IS a lap dog.

Bozzie
This is an ant’s eye-view of Bozzie (Boswell), our West Highland terrier. Given the proliferation of sugar ants in Portland homes this year, it seems a timely shot.

Rooney & Donovan
Rooney (Purple Collar) and Donovan (Blue Collar) are watching the ducks swim in the river – contemplating whether to swim after them. Just happened to catch them nearly symmetrical in their stances.

Lola
She really just wants to lick someone’s face, preferably yours. This pug has a taste for human flesh.

Maisey
This hyper little dog never met a lap she didn’t like.

Bogart Handsome Devil
The awesomeness of the Airedale Terrier tongue

Ming
Ming the Merciless came to us via Pacific Pug Rescue and she’s a pit bull in a pug package. But beneath her “bark” is a pampered little princess. Just don’t tell anyone!

Lucy (left)
Anytime Lucy does not get the attention she wants, she looks for something that will get our attention. In this photo, she finds our cordless telephone. Needless to say, it’s a game to get it away from her……..mission accomplished, she got our attention.

Cleo (right)
Cleo is the best “step” dog in the whole wide world.

Way back in the July issue we ran a photo essay on Portland pooches that drew quite a bit of interest. It also provided us with a good excuse to bug our readers (and in some cases staffers) to send us pictures of their four-legged friends. Without further adieu…

Thanks for reading!

I love the 3rd one of Callie. She is just too precious!

I wanted to give proper credit to the photo of our dog! A friend, Chippy Duong, took this photo of Lola. Thank you!
