More than 600 people flocked to the Oregon Zoo for the ninth annual Zoolala bash. Dubbed “Serengeti Rendezvous,” the July 19 party corralled grub and grog from Paragon Restaurant & Bar and Full Sail Brewing, as well as casino games and raffle prizes like a five-night getaway to Disneyland and a behind-the-scenes zoo tour. The popular gathering helped tally nearly $160,000 for next summer’s Predators of the Serengeti exhibit, which will feature lions, cheetahs, and African wild dogs.
