When Band of Horses began opening for Iron and Wine shows, Sup Pop Records sat up and took notice. It wasn't long before the rest of the music industry followed. Hailing from Seattle, the indie band formed in 2004 and has since undergone some serious changes to their lineup, not to mention musical style. They've performed everywhere from SXSW to Coachella, and their album Infinite Arms was nominated for a Grammy in 2010. Critics and fans alike found Mirage Rock, the band's fourth studio album, a definite departure from BOH's earlier work. Rolling Stone applauded the quintet's departure from "beard-y reverie," and exclaimed, "the results make revolution in the streets seem as welcoming as a summer breeze."
