In a shining example of how slow and steady wins the race, Vintalier, a vintage and preloved women's fashion boutique, hosts its grand opening Thursday, after beginning as a tiny blog in 2009. Owner Ellen Hsu says, “Vintalier is creating a new category of vintage, one that bridges the gap between the thrifty hipster and the early to mid-century loyalist.” The store will focuse on mixing practical, work-approproate styles for the Pearl Distrcit shopper, as well as some fun, traditional vintage, in addition to Hsu’s own in house line of new ready to wear.

Pop into the grand opening Thursday to say hello and sip a drink while perusing the fresh stock (all discouned 10% for opening night). Students from Aveda Institute will be on hand giving free makeovers for interested shoppers to match the new outfit before heading back into the First Thursday mayhem.
