UPDATE: the giveaway is now over… congratulations to winners Carol and Lori!

Who doesn’t love a present? Well, it’s time you got one! An extra-special giftie-poo, just for being a plant-lover, a gardener, a lover of beauty, a crafty, make-it-yourself sort of person…

I’m excited to be able to give away two great prizes: a copy of Terrarium Craft: Create 50 Magical, Miniature World, published in May; and a $75 terrarium from Amy’s gorgeous little shop Artemisia, here in Portland, OR.

For the book, Amy created 50 beautiful terrarium designs ranging from simple, spare desertscapes to more sophisticated arrangements of plants set amidst sand, stone, succulents and unusual plants, feathers, moss and thrift store finds. Kate Baldwin photographed these delicious confections, and I wrote the text, describing each piece and explaining how Amy made them. It was an exciting experience for us, and now we want you to have some terrarium fun!

Simply comment below by Thursday August 11, 2011 to enter. Two winners will be selected: one will receive a copy of Terrarium Craft and the other, a choice of either a beautiful terrarium made by Amy Bryant-Aiello or, if you want to make your own, a chance to pop over to the shop in SE Portland, play with $75 worth of luxe materials and take home a charming creation of your own. If you aren’t close enough to the shop to go in person, Amy will gladly mail you a terrarium kit or pretty little gift certificate; whichever you prefer.

Needless to say, no purchase is necessary. Two winners will be chosen at random. Open to residents of the US, 18 years or older, as of 8/11/2011. Entries must be received by 5 pm Pacific Time on 8/11/2011. Void where prohibited.
