New updates on Broder Nord, the North Interstate outpost of Southeast Clinton's charming Scandinavian hot spot: According to co-owner Peter Bro, Broder Nord will debut in mid-November with a series of soft openings, with full service and seafood-focused dinner menu launching mid-October. The eatery will also feature a "day market" offering a selection of grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items for workers in the area, as well as signature home and kitchen goods—think cast iron pans and wooden "bords"—plus house-made products like lemon curd and lingonberry jam (move over, IKEA). 2240 N Interstate Ave.
The Sugar Cube's brick-and-mortar bakery is now open on Northeast Alberta, with new breakfast items, Ristretto Roasters coffee service, and a packed pastry counter filled with Kir Jensen's signature sweets. Throughout the month of September, Little Bird's Bar Manager Tom Lindstedt will be showcasing the many sides of the daiquiri, offering five different versions of the classic drink to allow tipplers to order a daiquiri like they'd order a steak: the lighter option, or “rare,” features two rhums agricole—and the drinks move towards an 5-year-aged Plantation Barbados rum daiquiri for a “well done” option. 219 SW 6th Ave
