Last week we gave you a hearty list of Willamette Valley wineries to check out with your guests in town for Thanksgiving, but there’s more to Oregon’s holiday bounty than what lies west by southwest of the city.

The folks behind Mt. Hood Territory has put together a grab-and-go tasting trail passport stocked with farms, breweries, harvest festivals, chocolate shops, and more, so pack up the family and hit the road.

Gather your own mushrooms at the Zigzag Ranger Station, stock up on sweet treats at Puddin’ River Chocolates in Canby, or pick up some vino at Christopher Bridge or St. Josef’s Winery. Stops along the trail include farmers markets, specialty shops, and restaurants in Oregon City, Estacada, Molalla, Sandy, Mt. Hood and more. You can download the full passport and map here, and if you hit ten destinations by November 30th, you could win one of six $50 dining certificates.

Head out this weekend and you’ll be able to gear up for the Thanksgiving feast (trust me, nothing beats local Brussels sprouts). If you make the trip next weekend, head east to stock up on holiday gifts or just unwind from the work you put into the big meal—or the meal you let one of Portland’s top restaurants prepare for you.
