July 10–August 28 Silverton's Oregon Garden in Silverton has launched its annual Movies in the Garden series, which screens a cult classic every Thursday evening in the summer, from Office Space to The Princess Bride. July 17–20 It's that time again: Yonder Mountain String Band is gearing up to host the 13th Annual Northwest String Summit at Horning's Hideout in North Plains, spotlighting some of the country's finest acoustic pickers and standout electric bands. Details: stringsummit.com
July 18–19 For the fourth year in a row, berry lovers will celebrate Oregon's peak season at the Lifewise Oregon Berry Festival at Ecotrust, featuring shortcakes, sweets, and distilled berry spirits. Details: oregonberryfestival.com
