Oregon's Good Food Award Winners
Dominating the winner’s circle, Oregon food innovators receive recognition for their craftsmanship and commitment to sustainability.
Oregon cleaned up at the fourth annual Good Food Awards hosted January 16 at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Our state's food producers flexed their culinary muscles this year taking home 19 awards—honoring companies that push the industry towards craftsmanship, sustainability, and agricultural progress— in six of the ten categories, demonstrating the diversity and strength of the vibrant food and drink community in the Beaver state.
♦ Ancient Heritage Dairy received a nod for their old-world European process sheep and cow milk cheeses.
♦ Doubling down on Oregon’s choice chocolate confections, Alma Chocolate was awarded top honors for their Sea Salt Hazelnut Crunch Bar, along with Xocolatl de David for both the double-layer Raleigh Bar and the extra-smooth Brown Butter Bar.
♦ In the preserves category, Kelly’s Jelly was recognized for two spicy sweet jellies— Kelly’s Habañero Pepper Jelly, and Kelly’s Strawbañero Pepper Jelly. Carlton-based Republic of Jam also took home an award for their intriguing Marionberry Espresso Jam.
♦ Oregon garnered a bevy of accolades in the Spirits category with Clear Creek Distillery taking home three awards for their Pear Eau de Vie, Mirabelle Plum Eau de Vie, and Cranberry Liqueur. Organic Nation also had a strong showing this year, winning an award for their Organic Nation Gin, Old Field Rye Whiskey, and Organic Nation Vodka. Finally, Rogue Ales & Spirits, earned recognition for both their Oregon Single Malt Vodka, and Spruce Gin.
