Trek in the Park's Final Frontier
The summer theater favorite ends its five-year mission with “The Trouble with Tribbles”—and your help.
Now entering its fifth and final year, Trek in the Park has become the stadium rocker of local outdoor performances. Last year’s lo-fi production of a Star Trek episode drew a whopping 1,000 audience members during its closing performance.
Trek in the Park founders (and siblings) Adam and Amy Rosko have decided to end their run—citing a desire to focus on original productions—with one of the most famously outlandish episodes ever: “The Trouble with Tribbles,” in which multiplying furry little creatures threaten to choke the Enterprise in a sea of fuzzy cuteness.
But Trek in the Park needs your help to make thousands of the adorable aliens. Download the pattern, make your own tribble (or 10), and drop it off at Excalibur Comics. Aug 3–25. Free. Cathedral Park. atomic-arts.org
