Eden's Unbelievable Costumes
Pearl shop Eden publishes a series of stunning lookbooks depicting their vintage costume collection in character driven photo shoots.
Pearl boutique Eden might not appear from the outside to be the city’s costume treaure trove, but their breathtaking lookbooks published this week will cement the space's reputation as a go-to for Halloween and beyond. Owner Cindy Rokoff stumbled upon a cache of vintage costumes recently—some from MGM studios dating from the 1920's to 1950's—and these beauties rank far above that Walgreen’s polyester witch outfit you bought on a last minute whim.
Teaming up with local photographer Eric Rose and casting the shop’s stunning retail clerks as models, the group effort produced a series of eight mini lookbooks they’ve been releasing all month dedicated to the characters from each of the costumes. The result might be my favorite lookbooks I've seen all year.
See the slide show above for our favorites, and view the entire series at Eden’s Pinterest page. If that still isn’t enough, head to the shop to wrap yourself in The Papillion Princess robe until you have your fix.
