This Turkey Day, Portland restaurants are defrosting the pasture-raised, yoga-doin', carefully massaged, uber-organic turkeys and setting the table for you. Here’s our list of the best places to dine this Thanksgiving—plus a few handy options for take-out so you can sit back and actually enjoy the day off.
Imperial 410 SW Broadway
Vitaly Paley’s new downtown destination will offer a wood-fired and rotisseried Thanksgiving dinner from 11 am to 9 pm, with specials like spit-roasted turkey breast and turkey leg confit with oyster stuffing. The regular dinner menu will also be available (vegetarians would love the Potlatch Pilaf-stuffed poblano peppers with acorn squash, chestnuts, roasted shallots and walnut cream). Pastry Chef Michelle Vernier will also whip up some Thanksgiving gems like baked butterscotch pudding and old-fashioned apple, pecan and pumpkin pies.

The Country Cat 7937 SE Stark
Adam and Jackie Sappington will be dishing up a four-course prix fixe comfort food feast at their Montavilla Neighborhood eatery this Thanksgiving from 2 to 8 pm. Diners can choose their own dishes from a menu with both vegetarian and omnivorous options (count on leftovers).

Central 220 SW Ankeny St
Central's second-annual "Orphan's Thanksgiving" will feature three-courses: a pear and endive salad with champagne vinaigrette, cranberries, and hazelnuts; corned beef with a Chinese mustard and honey glaze; and a pumpkin chiffon pie.

Urban Farmer 525 SW Morrison, 8th floor of The Nines hotel
A three-course Thanksgiving meal will be served from noon to 9 pm, including Oregon-raised turkey, Carmen Ranch New York strip steak with cipolinni onions and rosemary, smashed red potatoes, and cinnamon maple candied yams.

This Thanksgiving, enjoy spit-roasted turkey breasts, braised rabbit and bacon pappardelle pasta, savory bread pudding, braised elk shoulder with polenta, mashed potatoes, cranberry-orange compote and traditional desserts from pastry chef Michelle Vernier from 2:30 to 8:30 pm,. Andina 1314 NW Glisan
Put a Peruvian spit on your Thanksgiving with a three-course dinner from 1 to 9:30 pm, including Pavo al Horno con Calabaza y Salsa de Saúco—heritage turkey dusted with a tres ajíes rub and slow roasted, served with quinoa-hazelnut stuffing, mâche salad, caramelized squash and elderberry gravy. The event will feature live music throughout the day.

The popular downtown deli is offering to-go orders of Thanksgiving dishes like roast turkey breasts stuffed with mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes, sausage and mushroom stuffing, giblet gravy, butternut squash and hazelnut soup, garlic mashed potatoes and more. Everything is available by the pound, so you can customize your servings for groups of two to twenty! The K&Z bakery is also making plenty of pumpkin, apple and pecan pies for your desserting pleasure.
